The aim of this research is to develop an autoamted system for quantisation and transcription of onset data from music recordings.
On this page we present the results of our experiments with recordings of the Aria of J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations BWV 988 recorded by Glenn Gould in 1955 and 1981.
For each bar we list the normalised inter-onset-times gathered from the audio recordings and the quantised result of our program along with gnuplot and lilypond score renderings of the quantised rhythm of both hands.
