AGP98 is a collective work entitled Ensemble, planned by Karlheinz Stockhausen and elaborated by 24 members of the kompositionsstudio grouped in 12 duos, each comprising an instrumentalist and a composer. The composers process the sounds recorded by the instrumentalists, combining them with material from electronic tape or shortwave transmitter. For more information, check out the English translation of the liner notes, generously provided by a bilingual AGP partisan with some minor stylistic changes by myself. Among the composers are AGP alumni Robert Wittinger, Nicolaus Huber, and Johannes Fritsch.

The LP from which these tracks were transcribed (Wergo 60065) is in excellent condition, with negligible pressing noise or tracking distortion. Tracks 01 and 02 are unedited transcriptions of the two sides of the LP, even though I think there are several seconds of overlap between the fade-out on side A and the beginning of side B. It is worth noting that this recording has not been released as part of the Stockhausen Complete Edition, presumably because it is a collective work merely planned by Stockhausen. The installment includes a PDF file with scans of part of the front of the LP cover, and all of the notes on the back of the LP cover.
